Established in 2002 by owner and operator Evan Caples, Momentum Ride Shop has become Port Hueneme/Oxnard’s premiere Surf, Skate and Bike shop. Momentum’s commitment to providing quality service and a friendly environment has allowed us to flourish in an overall tough retail environment.

Momentum recently added a full service bicycle repair center along with a full time mechanic to take care of any bike needs. Whether you need a tube replacement or a major overhaul to your carbon fiber road bike, Momentum’s got you covered!

The Caples’ family is no stranger to both surfing and skateboarding as Evan surfed professionally for many years and gathered such accolades as 1988 US Pro Tour Top Am, 2001 Volcom Butterfish Pro Division Overall Champ, and most recently won the Malibu Invitational Legends division a record setting 3 times (2012, 2013 & 2016) Similarly, Evan’s son Curren is currently one of the most recognized Professional Skateboarders in the World. Curren has Two X Games Gold Medals to his credit along with multiple other Professional victories, all this at the young age of 20.
